• Q. How do they mount?
  A. All our lights feature high power neodymium magnetic mounting. Just place the light on a flat metal surface and you are done. No drilling, screwing or taping required. The strength of the magnets far exceeds what is required to hold the lights in place.
  
  Q. Why aren't your lights RGBW?
  A. Our evaluation of competitive product while developing the MAX RGB was that RGBW was a significant disadvantage. RGBW was developed as a result of 'fixing' a color mixing problem on low cost import products. Additionally RGBW reduces the output of White by 75% since only 1 of 4 LED's is lit in 'white' mode. The MAX RGB features proprietary Clean White Technology, has perfect color mixing and offers incredibly bright white coverage without the rainbow effect of the low cost import products. In 'white' mode the MAX is using all 12 of its emitters blowing away our RGBW competitors.
  
  Q. How are your lights so much brighter than the import products?
  A. The secret is our magnetic mounting. LED light output is all about moving heat away from the LED so you can drive it harder. Our competition uses large aluminum housings to dissipate heat. This limits the viewing angle of the LED's and limits how much heat can be dissipated. With the LUX light our patented magnetic mounting system moves heat from the LED's through the magnets and dissipates into the mounting surface allowing us to drive our LED's harder producing more light.
  
  Q. Can I hook them to my Spod, Switch Pros, or OEM Aux switches?
  A. Yes, all our controllers can be connected to any AUX switch system including Spod, Switch Pros, and OEM AUX switches. Simply connect the black battery wire from the controller to ground and connect your AUX switch output to the red battery wire on the controller. ***DO NOT remove the inline fuse***
  
  Q. Do I have to have a controller?
  A. If you want to be able to change colors you will need some type of controller. You do not have to buy ours (although we would like it if you did). Any 12vdc automotive RGB controller that is common positive will work. If you just want a single color, our lights can be hardwired without a controller for 7 different colors: Red, Blue, Green, White, Teal, Yellow and Purple.  
  
  Q. How bright are they?
  A. Have you stared at the sun lately? We do not post lumens because it is an irrelevant measurement for rock lights, there is also no governing our competition to see if their specs are accurate. We will say that in a consumer test where the brands of the lights were not given that LUX won 9 to 1 in brightness and light coverage when mounted to a Jeep even over competitors costing 4X as much.
