LIGHT MUST BE MOUNTED TO A CLEAN, FLAT METAL FRAME RAIL SURFACE FOR PROPER HEAT DISSIPATION.

The magnetic system is engineered into the thermal path of the LEDs.
Improper mounting can result in overheating and premature failure.

    A. All LUX MONSTER RGBW LED rock lights mount magnetically to any clean, flat steel surface on the vehicle frame or chassis — no drilling, screws, glue, or tape required. For installations where a steel mounting surface is not available, optional metal mounting plates are available here.

    Q. What is Direct-Connect™?
    A. Direct-Connect™ is LUX’s refined single-lead wiring architecture designed for maximum placement flexibility and universal compatibility. Each pod connects back to the RGBW controller using included extensions and waterproof threaded connectors, allowing you to route each light exactly where you need it.

    A. Direct-Connect™ is ideal when you want independent routing for each pod — perfect for custom mounting positions, asymmetrical layouts, specialty builds, and unique frame configurations.

    Q. Do I need to order anything else with this kit?
    A. No. Each Direct-Connect™ kit includes the RGBW controller plus the required extensions and splitters for a complete installation. For the exact component breakdown, refer to the kit image and the “What’s Included” section above.

    Q. How do they hook up?
    A. Connect the included RGBW controller to any 12V DC power source. Then use the plug-and-play waterproof threaded connectors and included extensions/splitters to route each pod back to the controller.

    Q. How do I control the colors?
    A. The included RGBW controller allows you to customize color, brightness, and lighting effects using the mobile app or included remote. You can run full-color modes or switch to a bright white mode when needed.

    Q. How are your lights so much brighter than typical import rock lights?
    A. LED performance depends on thermal management. Most rock lights rely on bulky housings to handle heat, which limits how hard the LEDs can be driven in real use. LUX uses a patented magnetic mounting system engineered into the thermal path of the LEDs, transferring heat away from the light and into the vehicle’s mounting surface. This enables higher usable output from a compact light pod — designed for real-world output, not inflated numbers printed on a box.
